This project was developed as part of the Fashion Brand Development module, where SOOM Atelier was created as a conceptual accessories brand exploring calm, simplicity, and intentional living.
This project was developed under the Retail Buying module, using Evolve Studios as a conceptual brand to explore buying strategy, product mix, and commercial decision-making.
This booth operation was carried out as part of the Visual Merchandising (VSM) module, where our team developed and ran a pop-up concept under the brand The Beary Co.
From the start, I set a personal goal to aim for a top placement in terms of revenue, using it as motivation to plan carefully and stay focused throughout the project.
I then assembled a team that trusted my direction, and we worked closely together while maintaining an enjoyable and collaborative process. The experience was both intense and rewarding, and we ultimately achieved 2nd place in the class for overall revenue.
In response to the Turkey–Syria earthquake, ITE was part of a school-wide initiative to support relief efforts. Our class contributed a portion of the booth’s profits, which were collated and donated through the school to support relief efforts.
To strengthen the product offering, I identified an opportunity to collaborate with students from another course (Product Design) to work with resin components.
This allowed us to expand beyond what we could produce on our own and better leverage available resources.
By aligning production, presentation, and teamwork, the booth reflected both strategic planning and adaptability, while still maintaining a strong visual and brand identity for The Beary Co.
This booth focused on raising awareness about animal cruelty through clear, educational visuals. Informational boards were designed to highlight key facts and legal responsibilities in an accessible, straightforward way, encouraging viewers to pause, read, and reflect. The aim was to spark awareness through visual impact rather than overwhelm.
As the team leader, I oversaw the overall booth concept, flow, and execution, ensuring all elements worked together cohesively. From content planning to interaction design, the booth was developed to be informative yet engaging, creating an experience that encouraged participation, discussion, and awareness in a public setting.
To make the booth more engaging, I proposed incorporating sweets as an incentive-based interaction. Visitors who participated in the quiz and achieved a certain score were rewarded, making the learning process more approachable and interactive. This helped balance a serious topic with a lighter, welcoming experience.
The colourful paper elements were used as part of the interactive system, adding a playful visual contrast while guiding participants through the activity. Bright colours helped draw attention to the booth and encouraged participation, especially from passersby who might not normally stop to engage with awareness campaigns.
